Studio Live Vs Behringer at live gigs. I had a client buy a X32 compact and had him return it for a basic1602 as it was better suited for his use and engineering capabilities. I totally love the little 1602!!! X-Touch ONE, M-Air mr18, X-Air xr18, x32 with Dante/aes67, x32-rack with Dante/aes67, s16 and sd16 stageboxes, p16 monitor. BEHRINGER I/O X32-SERIES DIFFERENCES X32 COMPACT I/O X32 PRODUCER I/O X32 RACK I/O X32 CORE I/O. X32 Producer is more compact, and therefore is rack-mountable. Smaller screen 5” vs 7” TFT screen. No mute groups buttons, but you can still use mute groups via XControl, as well as you can.

Funny Stuff-Outside Links-. For the ladies. Hi all, we have approximately 4k to purchase a digital mixer to replace our presonus 32.4.2ai (not a fan).
We'll get a 16 Channel digital snake with the board or get it later if necessary (in the case of the Yamaha). The board will be installed.Requirements:Good sounding - plenty of headroomEasy work flow for volunteersReliable and durableSeparate bus that can be delayed for our videoWe have 4 monitors and 4 in ear monitor channels (mono)I'm a Yamaha fan, but I am not seeing the delay.Any suggestions or opinions? Please defend with facts. Hey, I do sound for two different churches with three different boards. One Yamaha, one x32 and a soundcraft performer 2.
Both the x32 and the performer were upgrades from analog boards. We work with many people who don't have much or any experience with sound in general or with digital boards.
I know the performer has a channel delay, not sure about the other ones but it would surprise me if they didn't have it. The feedback we've gotten so far is that for the volunteers the work flow of the x32 is by far the easiest to understand and work with for people who are new to digital boards and sound in general. The Yamaha board was very hard to understand. I'd really recommend the x32, it's really a great board for places with many volunteers and in my personal opinion a really good board in general, especially for the price. As for the sound, I've never really done a side by side comparison but I've never thought that any of the three boards have sounded bad.

I'm happy to answer any other questions!. I have first hand experience with the x32, and have recently seen/heard a TF5 in action. The X32 will sound fantastic, and have all the features you need, but the reliability/durability is still Behringer level. Some issues I have had are paint rubbing off, one of the small rotary knobs has reduced response, and I've had intermittent problems with the outputs. The TF (Touch Flow) series doesn't sound better.

It has less features, uses the same pre-amps from the MG series, but it has new software - with seemingly more user-friendly operation. There are a lot of manufacturer approved presets, as well as '1-touch' controls. I didn't use it myself, but the operation and work flow of their software looked like it would be easier, especially for volunteers. The build quality looked a little cheesy for Yamaha, the chassis was thin and some of the panel gaps weren't consistent. The X32 chassis seems a bit more solid, but the faders/knobs/screen are better on the TF for sure. I would assume the TF to be more reliable in the long term. You might be able to find a used M32 for close to $4000?. I think that would be a very good choice if you don't need the channels.
The number of pre amps and faders make up a big part of the price.I have heard they sound better as well. The only difference between the M32 and X32 that makes a big impact on the sound is the pre amps - but those are one of the most important parts of the signal flow.
I ordered a Midas stage box to use with the X32 I have, so I'll be able to give another opinion on the difference made by changing only the pre amps sometime in the near future. As far as easy to teach volunteers, it doesn't get easier than the soundcraft impact. It's extremely simple in the digital console market, what you see is what you get. The only thing that you need the menu system for is for naming your channels, and for assigning channels to faders, otherwise you mix like it's an analog console. There are dedicated knobs for every channel function, you can assign whatever channels anywhere you want on the board, and it actually has good quality flying faders.
